Letters to the writers!

Some of you may not know that we are putting together a little scrapbook of sorts to give to the writers during this difficult time. We’re going to be showing our support by telling them how important they are to us, and how The Office has affected us (in any way). If you’d like to include your own personal letter to the writers to share your love of all things The Office please send an email to: dmscranton@yahoo.com and please include a name (whether your first or your username) and also where you are located in the country/world.

I will be the one compiling all of the letters and creating our little scrapbook so you can also send any questions you may have to that email address as well. Please check out our forum where I have given a further explanation of sorts, and thanks for joining Team OFFOW!

Okay, I feel really stupid asking this but are we supposed to write the letter longhand, scan it and send it to you with that email with our name and location? I would really want to contribute :D

You don’t have to! You can type it up. I’m going to be working some special photoshop magic when I get them all together. If you’d like to hand write it then scan it in that’s completely acceptable but not necessary!

This is more of an explanation:

We’re just trying to compile how important the show is to all of us, what it’s done for us. If it’s done anything special for you, or brought you together with someone or helped through a difficult time just to share it with the writers. The story/letter doesn’t need to be emotional or personal if you don’t want it to be. It’s just to share with them something that would keep them motivated. Something that if you could see them face to face would really love to share.

Also regarding length of the letter:

I’ve had a few people ask about length and what I’m expecting, and to answer that, I say I’m not expecting anything. If you write one sentence or 100 or anything in between is perfect. I may end up with some smaller segments that I collage all together in the middle of the longer ones. I don’t want them all to be the same, so I’m letting everyone feel their way around this with what they’re comfortable with. No expectations or anything to stress you all out. This way we can really show how unique each and everyone one of us are.

Hey Rebeka/DMS — turns out I don’t have the time to ’scrap my story’, but if you would like to include my November calendar as a tribute to the writers, I’d really appreciate it.

Here’s the link — all are welcome to DL and print — NBC won’t get a dime from it!

Thanks LisaHoo! November’s ‘issue’ was great I already have it printed out at my desk. I will for sure add it to the scrapbook.
