To The Writers
Dear Greg, Paul, B.J., Mindy, Gene, Lee, Michael, Jennifer, Anthony, Justin, Jason, Brent, Ryan, Lester, and Steve:
It’s hard to justify having a simple television show mean so much to you. We all know that. Yet, here we are, putting together an entire book of stories about how much this show means to us. What you all do with your lives means this much to this many people. Maybe you all aren’t solving world hunger but you all still have a great effect on the lives of a great number of people and that is something special, to be cherished.
Some part of us feels like we have to let you go. We’re Pam and this is “The Job,” and if you never come back, that’s okay because we got this amount of time with you. Whether the strike lasts two weeks or a year, our memories of what you all have given us will last forever. We’ll send you a bobble head and please remember us when you’re famous(er).
What are we trying to say here? That we love you guys, even more then the actors and characters. You guys are the heart of this show. Without each and every one of you, The Office is nothing. You are all irreplaceable.
We support you all through this. Are we sad about no The Office? Absolutely. But you deserve the best because you have given us so much. Our lives are better because of you.
So, all we can say is thank you.
Sincerely,
The Office fandom

As someone who has worked as a PA on 2 Emmy awarde winning primetime tv shows, I am very aware how much work goes into even one page of an episode. The writer on these shows are beyond dedecated.
I am heartbroken that THE OFFICE will be on an undetermined hiatus but support all that you do.

There has never been a show I’ve gotten into as much as The Office. It’s allowed me to get away from real life when it gets bad and go visit Scranton with the notion that I’ll have fun, even if it’s time for spring cleaning.
I’ll be able to watch those fifty-some (and hopefully many more) episodes over and over again and never get tired of them, and that’s something that I can’t thank you guys enough for.
Keep up the incredible work, and even though I can’t be out there striking with you guys, I’m going to give as much support as I can.

Dear Office writers,
November 7th, 2007 at 5:40 pmAs a fan of The Office, I wish to let you know that you have my full support in the WGA strike. I hope that your demands are granted because you deserve it for the amazing comedy and passion you provide to audiences everywhere.
The Office has changed my life. It has opened up doors to communities where I finally feel I belong to and has led me to meet people I could never live without again. It’s odd to think that a TV show could have such an effect, but in the end, it’s all about the ensemble, right?
Thank you and good luck.

The writers strike is at Corporate. Scranton Branch would never strike, my friends. They have too much heart.
November 9th, 2007 at 12:24 amI think what the writers are asking for is completely appropriate, they deserve to be compensated for the amazing and hilarious work they do regardless of the way this work is viewed. I refuse to watch any online content or purchase anymore DVD’s until this is resolved!! Once upon a time, in a job I had long ago, I fell in love with a guy in the office. We were the Jim and Pam of the place, but he was Pam (with a girlfriend - difficult like Roy) and I was Jim (single and besotted). It never worked out between us. He stayed with his girlfriend, and I moved on. That is why I thank you for breathing life into these characters, for letting them deal with adversity and find the love that I couldn’t obtain. The day that Jim and Pam admitted they were together, it was as if I was reunited with my old office crush. Your words and creation of characters such as Jim and Pam, Michael, Dwight..etc are inspirational to office drones like me.
As a wanna be writer, I feel as though I’m on strike with you. You deserve the compensation for online content. I look forward to more incredible episodes from you on the other side of this ordeal. Keep up the fight.

I never thought I’d become so invested in a TV show and/or a fictional couple (Jim & Pam). That just shows how amazing and brilliant you all are. Thank you for at making us laugh, tugging at our heartstrings, but mostly, making such a positive impact on our lives. This show is my escape and I’ll miss it dearly. My life will feel incomplete without new episodes & a continuation of the story lines that are in the process of being developed but I am behind you 1000%. Go writers!

For all that you have given me, I am so thankful. I have never had a show that I was this in love with ever. I want to say thank you for all the wonderful moments that you have given me and the characters that I have grown to love like dysfunctional family members. Since you gave the world Dwight Schrute, I figure that the least I could give you is my unending support in this and any endeavor you ever undertake.
I hope that this gets resolved quickly and fairly so that we can all get back to Scranton, PA and our crazy Dunder Mufflinites.

I’ve never loved as show as much as The Office. There is something about it that just speaks to me, and it speaks to a lot of other people as well. Pam’s personal journey of self fulfillment became my personal journey (actually it was striking the similarities between Pam and I…except there was no Roy or Jim). Jim and Pam’s relationship made me realize what type of relationship I really wanted. I seriously don’t know what I would of ever done with out this show.
So I just wanted to say THANK YOU. THANK YOU to all the writers, producers, directors, cast and crew for making the best show ever. We are all behind you 100%!
Wishing you guys all the luck,

I like the office. I like it more than family guy, or the simpsons, or seinfeld, or any other hit tv show. If you writers were not here, then I probably wouldn’t watch much tv. My old definition of a “funny show” was that it makes me laugh ONCE every episode. My new definition of a funny show is THE OFFICE. You have made me laugh time and time again from Dwight’s speech to cousin Mose to laughing every time i see a portable grill. You guys are simply the best (except for toby, who i simply hate, jk) and that’s all there is to it.
Keep fighting,
